Santosh Trophy screening today

Srinagar, May 4: The J&K State Sports Council is going to conduct screening of State Santosh trophy team at polo ground here on Saturday.
The 24-member Santosh Trophy football team has been undergoing through coaching camp at Polo ground from last 10 days. To give go ahead to team to represent the state in national championship, the JKSSC officials lead by Sports officer Kashmir Haji Abdul Qayoom will conduct screening on Saturday.
The final 20-member team would be declared by J&K Football Association on May 7 and it will leave for Jammu on the same day.
The Santosh Trophy for national football championship is scheduled to be held in Traphu Cuttack Odhissa from May 10. JK would be playing its first match against Arunachal Pradesh on May 13 and the second match on May 15 against Maharashtra.
The Association has appointed JK Police coach, Ranjit Singh as the coach of team while first International footballer of State Muhammad Shafi Nari has been appointed as manager. Ashiq Hussain has been appointed as Physiotherapist.
