Zaffar for K-resolution through tripartite talks
Srinagar, May 4: The chairman of Jammu Kashmir Mass Movement Zaffar Akbar Bhat on Friday appealed to the world community to play effective role in resolving Kashmir dispute.
Zaffar was addressing a public meeting at Beerwah in Budgam district of central Kashmir. He said Kashmir was a political dispute and should be resolved through tripartite talks involving Pakistan, India and the genuine Kashmiri leadership. “New Delhi should create conducive atmosphere for meaningful and result oriented talks on Kashmir issue. Permanent peace in South Asia was impossible without the settlement of the long pending dispute over Kashmir,” Zaffar said.
Expressing serious concern over the continued detention of Kashmiri youth, Hurriyat leaders and activists, Zaffar demanded their release. Zaffar hailed the recent concern about human rights violations expressed by the Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch.
