Tributes paid to Qadiri
Srinagar: Former Congress MLA, Faqir Muhammad Sarhadi and Congress leader Janak Raj Gupta Saturday paid tributes to Ghulam Rasool Qadiri, the former editor of the News Tehelka on his death anniversary.
Qadri had passed away on May 6 in 2009 after a brief illness. “A meeting of Congress workers from the far-flung areas of the state was held under the instructions of Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad to remember Ghulam Rasool Qadiri,” Sarhadi said.
“Qadiri was a religious scholar. He always preached brotherhood and peace,” said Gupta.
