Workshop held on teacher’s role in healthcare
Srinagar, May 5: The department of Community Medicine, Government Medical College, Srinagar in collaboration with Education Department conducted a daylong training workshop of teachers and headmasters of Nishat zone regarding role of teachers in prevention and control of blindness among schoolchildren.
A handout said: “Thirty teachers were taught and given hands-on training regarding checking of visual acuity among school children so that corrective measures are taken at earlier stages.”
Inaugurating the workshop, Dr Iftikhar Munshi HOD emphasized greater role of school teachers in overall growth and development of students with detection of various ailments by school teachers. The workshop was coordinated by Dr Inaam-ul-Haq and Dr Qurat-ul-Ain.
