100 old city youth recruited as constables
Srinagar, May 6: The Jammu and Kashmir Police today recruited 100 youth, from "unrepresented areas" in the state, as constables in the force.
The recruitment drive was held for the youth hailing from Nandpora and Zuzvi Khanyar areas and 100 were recruited as constables after they were put through various physical and other tests, a police spokesman said.
Among the 100 youth recruited, 35 are graduates and 39 have finished higher secondary school, the spokesman said.
