Sofi-XI Beat RP Wathoora In Final

Budgam, May 6: Sofi-XI Safakadal lifted the Sheikh-ul-Alam (RA) cricket tournament title defeating RP Wathora at Shah Qalandar sports ground Wathoora here on Sunday.
 After winning the toss the captain of R P Wathoora decided to bat first. The whole team was all out for 128 runs in 24 overs. Bilal Ahmad with 26 runs was highest scorer for them.
 In reply Sofi-XI achieved the required target of 129 runs in 23 overs. Sofi-XI did not have solid start as they lost couple of wickets quickly. However Danish played sensible knock for them and helped his team to achieve victory. He was declared man of the match for his knock of 34 runs of 26 balls. Usman Pandit from Sofi-XI was declared man of the series.
 CEO Rahim Motors Abdul Hameed , Second in Command 53 RR Maj Himanshu, Convener of J&K RTI Movement Dr Raja Muzaffar Bhat , SDPO Chararisharief, Syed Mubashir Bukhari and SHO Chadoora were guests on the occasion and distributed prizes among the winners.
 Among others who were present on the occasion included Sarpanch Wathoora Muhammad Ameen Qadri, Ali Muhammad Waza Panch, Fayaz Ahmad Waza Panch.
 On the occasion sports men of the area demanded that the Shah Qalandar sports ground should be developed as the sports stadium.
