Director FSL orders inquiry

FORENSIC OPINIONS BY LABORATORY ATTENDANT

Srinagar: Director Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) Srinagar has ordered an internal inquiry into furnishing of scientific opinions by a laboratory attendant illegally.
 Sources told Greater Kashmir that the Director FSL Inayat Ullah Khan has initiated internal inquiry after it came to fore that the laboratory attendant was giving forensic opinion.
 “He was illegally giving his opinion vis-a vis fingerprints. Hi all opinions and views stand cancelled and Deputy Director FSL has written to police over the matter,” they said. When contacted, Inayat Ullah Khan confirmed that he has asked the Deputy Director FSL to submit report on the matter within 15 days.
 “Further action will be taken up on receipt of the report,” he said.
