Govt Women’s College MA Road lifts title
STATE THROW BALL CHAMPIONSHIP CONCLUDES
Srinagar, May 7: The Government MA Road lifted Women’s College the State Throw ball championship title defeating Women’s College Srinagar (Amar Singh College) campus in the final played at Women’s College MA Road ground here Monday.
In the match, MA road outplayed Women’s’ College in straight sets by 25-18 and 26-24 points. With this win MA Road lifted the title. For winning side Badr-un-Nissa, Sadiqa and Hafsah Siddique were brilliant in the game and it was because their brilliant play that MA Road could emerge as winners.
“We were confident to win this title from the start. However, they gave us close fight in both the sets. When it mattered most they lost concentration and we kept our cool,” said Hafsah Siddique, MA Road player.
“We are happy to see ourselves win this title and whole team deserves applause for it,” she added.
On the occasion, SP North, Tahir Saleem Khan was the chief guest and he distributed prizes among the winners.
