Seminar on pollution in City held
Srinagar, May 7: Conservation Society an NGO organized a seminar in collaboration with Kausar College of Computer Science Nowshera, Srinagar on the topic “Pollution in Srinagar City”.
The seminar was presided over by Aadil Phamboo and the participants included Dr Abdul Majeed Kaak (Research Coordinator in ISSC Hawal), Altaf-ur-Rehman (Physical Director ICSC) Shafat Ahmed Reshi (Town Planner) and Mansoor Nabi Sofi (Project Officer in Wild Trust of India), Principal Kausar College of Computer Science, Nowshera Srinagar, a handout said.
On the occasion the participants laid emphasis on the present condition of Srinagar with regard to spread of pollution and solid wastage management.
Dr Kak highlighted the present situation of lakes in Kashmir. The participants urged the authorities to take measures for maintaining cleanliness in the City.
