Transmission lines
This refers to the news item titled "Transmission line poses threat to Deb Bagh people".
The Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd has constructed more than 93,0000 ckms of transmission line criss crossing the entire country. The lines pass through all type of terrain including high mountain ranges like Peerpanjal, agricultural fields and even Arabian sea. These transmission lines are constructed as per international norms and practices. We ensure that due clearances are maintained and that these EHV lines do not pose any harm to human life. As such these transmission lines posing threat to human life is not a fact. Nobody has approached Powergrid till date for clarifications or otherwise on this issue Power has never been stopped temporarily on the referred transmission lines. The lines have been in charged condition from the date these were commissioned and are charged even today.
