Inter-University Cricket Women’s Tournament
Srinagar, Oct 31: Mumbai and Jiwaji Universities enter into Semi-final of All India Inter University Women’s Cricket tournament at Kashmir University ground here on Wednesday.
In first quarter-final, Mumbai University defeated V.B.S Purvanchal University by 10 wickets. Batting first, Purvanchal University were bundled out for 31 runs. In reply Mumbai University achieved the target in just 5.1 overs. Najuka Dawane remains the highest scorer with 19 runs while as Monika Pashte took 3 wickets for her team.
In second quarter final Jiwaji University, Gwalior defeated Calcutta University, Kolkata. Batting first Calcutta University, Kolkata set a target of 54 runs. In reply Jiwaji University, Gwalior achieved the target in 18 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. Nidhi and varsha scored 22 and 12 runs respectively for Jiwaji University.
