Tourist hub craves for water
Srinagar, Oct 31: The tourist hub of Khonakhan Dalgate and its adjoing areas are facing acute shortage of potable drinking water for the past many days.
A delegation from the area said the PHE resorts to unscheduled water cuts causing immense inconvenience to the tourists and locals. “During night the taps run dry and during day the pressure too is low to reach our storage tanks in our premises. Due to shortage of water our business has been badly affected as tourists prefer to stay in other areas with uninterrupted water supply,” they said. They appealed the Chief Engineer PHE to look into the matter.
