Hurriyat (M) delegation leaves for New Delhi; Shah fumes
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, Nov 10: Democratic Freedom Movement President Shabir Ahmed Shah on Friday accused the Hurriyat (M) of ignoring him during the meeting with Pakistan High Commissioner to India.
“Neither, I got a call from Chairman nor from party headquarters about the visit. I was surprised when some friends from Pakistan rang me up and asked me whether I have left for Delhi for a meeting with Pakistan High Commissioner to India, Salman Bashir.” Shah told Greater Kashmir.
Shah said that in the last meeting of the amalgam which was attended by his deputy Muhammad Abdullah Tari, ‘His party had demanded restructuring of Hurriyat before Pakistan visit.”
Meanwhile, a high level delegation of Hurriyat Conference (M) led by its chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq today left for New Delhi to meet Pakistan High Commissioner.
Apart from Mirwaiz, the delegation comprises Moulvi Muhammad Abbas Ansari, Professor Abdul Gani Bhat, Bilal Gani Lone, Agha Syed Hassan Al Moosvi Al Safvi and Shahid-ul-Islam.
The delegation would hold detailed deliberations with Bashir, regarding the Hurriyat leaders’ forthcoming visit to Pakistan. “The delegation will also discuss the Kashmir issue, bilateral relations between India and Pakistan and the tangible changes and improvement in the relations between the two countries. Hurriyat would present the Kashmiris’ point of view, aspirations, and emotions before the high commissioner and other Pakistani delegates,” a Hurriyat spokesman said in a statement.
