Soz for pvt aircraft service to Kargil
Srinagar, Nov 10: President, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee Saifuddin Soz Saturday called on Union Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh in New Delhi, raising many issues with the latter including pending extension of airstrip at Kargil.
He suggested that private airlines should run the service of small aircrafts for Kargil during winters, the spokesperson in a statement said.
“The Union Minister informed Soz that he is already negotiating with certain private Airlines and he was confident that the service will be available as early as possible,” it said.
Soz also raised the issue of transfer of management of Centaur Hotel to J&K Government.
He suggested that till the management was transferred to J&K Government, “urgent renovation of the hotel should be undertaken and CRPF move to some other place so that the Hotel is run as commercially viable proposition,” the spokesperson said.
