Consumer aghast
Srinagar, Nov 11: Kaiser Ahmad Mir, an LPG consumer of Bemina, here, was taken aback when he went to his gas dealer for getting the refill but only to be informed that his quota of subsidized gas cylinders had already been taken. Mir said that after visiting the gas dealer “I was informed that I had already taken my quota of subsidized gas cylinders.” “I was shocked to see that my consumer number 509824 had been shown to have taken three LPG subsidized cylinders, which is not true,” he said. “Since the LPG policy came into effect I have not purchased any cylinder of cooking gas but the website shows that I have already taken 3 subsidized cylinders. This shows that the gas dealers are making false entries to sell subsidized LPG cylinders at the rate of non- subsidized,” Mir alleged.
