Dr Qasim Faktoo admitted to SKIMS ICU
Srinagar, Nov 11: Chairman Muslim League Dr Muhammad Qasim Faktoo, who has been in jail for more than 20 years, on Sunday was admitted to Intensive Care Unit of SKIMS after he developed chest complications in Central Jail Srinagar.
Dr Faktoo was first rushed to JLNM Hospital after he developed chest pain while offering prayers in Central Jail, said a spokesman of Muslim League.
He was rushed to SKIMS Soura where he was admitted in ICU since his condition deteriorated, the spokesman said.
A spokesperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat said, DeM chairperson and wife of Dr Qasim Faktoo, Asiya Andrabi rushed to the hospital where authorities had deployed heavy contingent of police.
“No one is being allowed to visit him,” said the spokesman, adding that doctors would conduct more tests to ascertain the future course of action.
