Match heading for draw after strong Goa reply

Srinagar, Nov 11: The second 4-day Ranji trophy match J&K is heading for the draw after hosts Goa replied strongly with 288 for the loss two wickets in reply to JK’s first inning total of 338 at the end of third days play at District Institute of Education and Training Ground, Porvorim on Sunday.
 Starting day’s play on 48 for the loss of no wicket, Goa openers put on 178 runs for the opening stand. Desai was the first wicket to fall after scoring 83 runs. He was grabbed by JK’s first inning batting hero Parvez Rasool. The second wicket to fall was SA Asnodkar after scoring brilliant 103 when the score was 236. That was the last wicket to fall on third days play. At the end of day’s play Goa were on 288 runs with eight wickets in hand. They were trailing by 50 runs.
 Earleir on the second day of the play, Parvez Rasool rescued sinking ship of JK by scoring a mammoth inning of 177 runs. He was ably supported by skipper Samiullah Beigh who remained unbeaten on 57.
