DAY-4: JK draws match with Goa

Srinagar, Nov 12: The 4-day Ranji Trophy tournament match between J&K and Goa ended on a draw at District Institute of Education and Training Ground, Porvorim on Monday.
Resuming day’s play with 288 runs for the loss of only two wickets, Goa announced declare on 406 runs for the loss of six wickets, getting first inning lead of 68 runs.
In its second inning with only half a day left, J&K were struggling at a point with dangling on 40 runs for the loss of six wickets.
However, the skipper Samiullah Beigh joined Bandeep Singh and made a stay. They played cautiously and thus saved the match by making a draw.
Although the match was drawn, Goa earned three points on the basis of first inning lead. JK could get only one point. From J&K Pravez Rasool scored 177 runs in first inning and took two wickets.
