Anjuman-e-Himayatul Islam holds seminar
Srinagar, Nov 13: Anjuman-e-Himayatul Islam organized a seminar titled Seerat-un-Nabi (SAW) complete remedy for development of society’ at Amar Singh College here.
The seminar was held under the chairmanship of Moulana Showkat Hussain Keng while the ex-chief secretary and MLC Sheikh Ghulam Rasool was the chief guest on the occasion.
Moulana Khurshid Ahmad Kanoongo, Prof Bashir Ahmad Nehvi, Abdul Majid Andrabi, Ghulam Qadir Allaqaband, Aijaz Ahmad Kakroo also threw light on the topic.
Speakers said the contemporary time is dominated by materialism which has adverse impacts on the society. “Issues like corruption, crime, waywardness and moral degradation are eating into the vitals of the society and reigning supreme. It is it responsibility of the parents to work towards preventing these evils,” they said.
