NLCO hails Smart Bin installation
Srinagar, Nov 13: Nigeen Lake Conservation Organization has hailed the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) for installation of Smart Bins in the Nigeen and adjoining areas.
In a statement the NLCO Chairman, Manzoor Ahmed Wangnoo said the development would be beneficial for this City which is of importance on the tourism map adding that good sanitation plays a key role in attracting tourists.
“Moreover, the Smart Bins have been instrumental in decline of dog population in the area as the stray packs have migrated elsewhere looking for food littered on streets,” he said.
Wangnoo said the tourists too have been appreciating the “new modernized sanitation.” He appealed the SMC Commissioner Dr GN Qasba to continue with such “innovative endeavours”.
