NSC lifts SFD Cricket tourney title
Srinagar, Nov 13: Nigeen Sports Club (NSC) lifted the Sports Fraternity of Dalgate (SFD) Cricket tournament title defeating City Forest-XI in the final played at TRC ground here on Tuesday.
Batting first, City Forest scored 192 runs for the loss of eight wickets in allotted 30 overs. In reply, Nigeen achieved required target for the loss of four six wickets. Mohsin with 78 runs was highest scorer for them and was adjudged as man of the match. Sheikh Zubair of City Forest was adjudged as man of the series.
Sessions Judge Srinagar, Muhammad Shafi Khan was the chief gust on the occasion and distributed prizes among the winners.
On the occasion SFD honoured former players from Dalgate - Muhammad Yousuf Dar, Hilal Ahmad Bhat, Muzaffer Ahmad Wani, Muhammad Aslam Bhat , Muhammad Aslam Dar, Abdul Hamid Bhat, Abdul Rashid, Jeelani, Muhammad Asmat, Idrees Gandroo, Parvez Wani and Ghulam Muhammad.
