HRCC hailed for construction

Srinagar, Nov 14: The government on Wednesday hailed the Hassan Roads Construction Company Pvt Ltd (HRCC), a Kashmir based firm, for successfully executing the challenging work were drains had to be dug as deep as seven meters in the residential Hyderpora area where soil is believed to be loose.
The Economic Reconstruction Agency (ERA)’s project for Sanat Nagar Hyderpora area was undertaken solely by the HRCC while its Director, Umar Yaqoob Mir, a BE Civil in his mid 30s was constantly monitoring the work expected to benefit some 20000 inhabitants.
But on the inauguration of the project, Umar gave the credit of the success to his grandfather and HRCC Managing Director Haji Ghulam Hassan Mir.
“It is because of my grandfather who founded this firm and worked hard that today I could make an attempt to uphold the legacy of executing challenging works,” Umar told reporters on the sidelines of the inauguration by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
To a question he clarified that the firm would continue to execute only those project, which are solely bagged by the HRCC.
