Winter Games Association asks players to register for competitions
Srinagar, Nov 14: The Winter Games Association of J&K has asked all eligible skiers, snowboards and ice-skaters to register their names with the association for upcoming championships.
The direction has come after Winter Games Federation of India decided to register all players from all over the India, who participated in winter games.
The registration will be held through their respective state Winter Games Associations, a statement issued by the association said.
It said, “The forms can be had from Adventure Wing Tourism Department, Gulzar News Agency, Chandilora, Steel Head Motors, Sumo Adda, Exchange Road, Srinagar and Downhill Restaurant Tangmarg against the payment of Rs 150.”
“Those who are not registered with WGFI and do possess Association Card cannot participate in any national or international level competitions in future,” Secretary WGAJK Shabir Ahmad Wani said.
Wani said the association is planning to prepare a panel of coaches and in this regard WGA-JK has asked the aspirant coaches to submit their resume for consideration.
Meanwhile, President WGA-J&K and DDC Anantnag, Farooq Shah said the Association has completed 25 years of its existence and it will celebrate its silver jubilee soon.
