IUST ANNOUNCES CRICKET TEAM
INTER-UNIVERSITY CRICKET CHAMPIONSHIP ALIGARH
Srinagar, Nov 16: The Directorate of Physical Education & Sports Islamic University of Science & Technology Awantipora Friday announced its cricket team for the Inter-University cricket championship scheduled to be held at Aligarh Muslim University from November 20.
The selection of the team was made after a 15-day rigorous trial. The team is leaving for Aligarh on November 18.
The team has to play its first fixture on November 21 against CCS Haryana Agriculture Hisar. Before the team leaves, the IUST team will play a friendly match with Kashmir University XI on Saturday at Kashmir University Cricket ground. The team comprises of 18 players lead by the officials of the University.
The team members include: Mujtabi Rizvi (Captain) Junaid Showkat, Mohd Ummer , Suhail Nazir, Faisal Yaseen, Irfan Ahmad, Adil Bashir, Syed Owais Qadri, Adnan Nazir, Muhmmad Mustafaeez Rehman, Shaheem Farooq, Saleem Yousuf, Wakar Ahmad, Mufti Hamid, Arif Tantray, Yasir Nisar, Rakib Farooq Reshi and Inam ullah Mir.
