Machinery Mela held at Kangan

Ganderbal, Nov 17: A Farm Machinery Mela was today organized at Dak-Bunglow, Kangan.
On the occasion, Director Law Enforcement J&K M.S. Katoo said the Agriculture Department has launched a number of farm schemes for the benefit of the farmers.
He urged the farmers to avail the benefits of the schemes. He said the farmers of valley purchase different kinds of machinery & othe equipment and tools worth Rs. 45 crores during current year at different machinery melas.
Additional District Development Commissioner Itrat Hussain Rafiqui advised farmers to coordinate with Agriculture Department to achieve growth.
The farmers purchased 15 Tractors, 23 Power Tillers, 132 Irrigation Pump Sets, 13 Foot Sprayers, 125 Tool Kits, 2 Plant Protection Equipments, 2 Power Driven Equipments & 24 Poly Green Houses, for which incentive of Rs. 35.13 lakhs will be provided.
