Government schools

This refers to distribution of free text books in Government schools. Though government is planning to ensure quality education in the state but the situation is totally against at the ground level. As per Right to Education government is bound to provide free and compulsory education to
all children between the age group of 6- 14 years, which include free text books, mid-day meals and other basic facilities. Free text books are distributed among the children at the end of the session to start new classification. As the new classification has been started from November 1st 2012 in almost all the zones but the students are facing text book shortage. Primary classes like 2nd and 5th have been ignored as only two or three books have been provided to them. Same is the
case with upper primary classes. Govt should look into the matter  to ensure smooth functioning of the schools, or amend the acts like RTE.
