Inter-University Women’s Cricket Tournament on
Srinagar, Nov 1: In the ongoing All India Inter-University Women’s Cricket Tournament, semi-finals were played at Kashmir University ground here on Thursday.
M.D.U Rohtak and Awadh University Faizabad booked their place in the final of the event after winning their respective semi-final clashes.
In the first semi-final of the day, Awadh University Fazaibad defeated Jiwaji University Gwalior. Batting first, Awadh University set a target of 120 runs in allotted 30 overs. Shefali Sahu was highest scorer with 26 runs. In reply Jiwaji University managed 116 in allotted 30 overs for the loss of 8 wickets.
In second semifinal, MDU Rohtak University defeated Bombay University Mumbai. Batting first Bombay University set a target of 107 runs in allotted 30 overs. Tanvi with 32 runs was highest scorer for them. In reply MDU Rohtak achieved the target at last ball of the match. Neeru with 26 runs was highest scorer for them.
