150 KG polythene SEIZED
Another illegal construction demolished
Srinagar, Nov 19: The Srinagar Municipal Corporation sleuths Monday seized 150 KGs of polythene during separate raids in the City even as the SMC said the drive would be intensified in the coming days.
Meanwhile, yet again an allegedly illegal construction was demolished in Shaheed Gunj area only when the SMC Commissioner Dr GN Qasba personally visited the site. The SMC commissioner ordered on-the-spot demolition of the structure, an SMC handout said.
The Enforcement Squad of the SMC often swings to action only when Dr Qasba goes for City inspection hinting a failure on the part of the concerned wing in keeping constant vigil and letting illegal constructions come up.
