8th Muharram procession from Guru Bazar to Dalgate: IuM
SYED IMRAN ALI HAMDANI
Srinagar, Nov 19: Jammu and Kashmir Itehad-ul-Muslimeen Chairman Masroor Abbas Ansari on Monday said the 8th Muharram procession would be taken out from Guru Bazar to Dalgate here.
Addressing a meeting of party workers here on Monday Ansari said, “The government has imposed restrictions on Muharram processions being taken out on 8th and 10th Muharram from Lal Chowk for the past 20 years.”
He demanded the government should lift restrictions forthwith as it is “direct interference in religious affairs.”
“The 10th Muharram procession would be taken out from Abi Guzar here,” he added.
