KTMF condemns JK Bank recovery team

Srinagar,Nov 19: Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers’ Federation today expressed concern over what it said the “coercive methods J&K Bank adopted in recovering loans from an hotelier.”
The KTMF at a meeting held today with its president Mohammad Yaseen Khan, in chair condemned the bank for adopting “coercive methods” to effect recoveries, it said in a statement.
“It was surprising that J&K Bank which is of international repute can use such harsh and uncivilized approach in recovering the loan from its borrower.”
“The bank officials must bear in mind that they are the part and parcel of this society. Therefore, they must change their approach and abide by the guidelines of RBI,” it said.
