Peerzoo hosts Khen-Chen-2012
Srinagar, Nov 19: Khen Chen-2012, a Kashmiri street food festival organized by CHANGE at Peerzoo has concluded.
The 2-day festival attracted a beeline of food lovers to the restaurant on the banks of Jhelum. Among them was SP Traffic Srinagar Haseeb Ur Rehman who relished a number of delicacies including Seikh Tujji and Monje Gaada, a handout said.
“The evening event held in collaboration with J&K Bank also brought some mouth watering delicacies like Monje Guil, Gaier Gojje, Tille Karre,” the hosts said.
They said the festival aimed at creating awareness about “our dying street food and conservation of this element of Kashmiri culture.” “Among others Aamir Ali (OSD Div Com Kashmir) with his family and Muhammad Amin Khan (Vice President J&K Bank) appreciated this initiative,” the hosts said.
