Shabir Shah meets Pak HC
Srinagar: Democratic Freedom Party Chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah today held a four hour long meeting with Salman Bashir, Pakistan’s High Commissioner in New Delhi, a DFP spokesman said.
He said Salman Bashir told Shah that Pakistan wants stability in the South Asian region but the long pending issue of Kashmir has become a major impediment. “Peace will elude South Asia till the Kashmir issue remains unresolved. People of Kashmir have every right to decide their future according to their wishes and aspirations,” the spokesman quoted Bashir as having told the DFP Chairman.
“Kashmiri people are the main stakeholders in deciding the future of Kashmir and solution to this issue lies in the resolutions passed by the Security Council by the United Nations,” Shah told Bashir.
