Masroor Abbas detained

Srinagar, Nov 20: Jammu and Kashmir Ittehad–u- Muslimeen Patron Moulana Masroor Abass Ansari was Tuesday taken into custody at Shaheed Gunj here after he attended a meeting at Hurriyat (M) Headquarters at Rajbagh.
Sources said Masroor was heading towards Shadipora to address a Muharram gathering when a police contingent intercepted his car and arrested him.
Masroor had recently announced that he would lead the 8th Muharram procession from Gurubazar to Dalgate and on 10th Muharram he would take out a procession from Abi Guzar.
