Outrage continues, students lock university staff
Rajouri. Nov 20: Administration and staff of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University were locked inside the varsity campus by the agitating students, who kept all exits and entrance routes blocked, till late Tuesday evening.
As the deadlock between the agitating students of College of Engineering and Technology and University administration continued for the sixth consecutive day today, the protesters claimed that the strike would continue till their demands are met.
Sources said that a meeting between the agitating students and University authorities failed to break the deadlock as the students refused to suspend agitation despite assurances.
Immediately after the meeting, the students announced indefinite hunger strike. A group of students staged a sit-in in the University campus.
At around 4:30 pm when the university was about to close and staff was ready to leave the agitating students blocked the main road outside the campus. Due to the road blockage staff members of university remained locked inside the campus.
