‘Lift ban on processions’
Srinagar, Nov 21: President JK Shia Youth Front (JKSYF) has appealed the government to lift ban on Muharram processions and also bring “transparency in the allocation of the Muharram related funds.”
In a statement the JKSYF President said: “We urge the government to lift this irrational ban on 8th and 10th Muharram processions.” “Putting curbs on these processions is undemocratic and unconstitutional which may lead to emotional outburst type of response from masses,” he added.
