Grameen Bank holds literacy camp

Srinagar, Nov 21: J&K Grameen Bank Tuesday organized a literacy camp in collaboration with NABARD in village Lalad, Sopore. A large number of farmers attended the programme presided over by the Bank’s General Manager, Qazi Aftab Ahmed.
Qazi informed the participants about the Bank’s Financial Inclusion Policy (FIP). It was informed that Grameen Bank has been conducting such programmes to make the people aware about the concept of financial inclusion, media in-charge of the bank, Rafiq Ahmad Shah said.
Giving further details, Shah said the procedure for formation of farmers clubs and Self Help Group was explained by Senior Manager Advances, Maqsood Ahmad Mir.
The programme was organized by Area Manager Baramulla, Abid Hussain Khan who urged the people to come forward and make use of the schemes of bank tailored to suit the requirements of general public.
