Police officer attacked in Pulwama

Srinagar, Nov 21: Suspected militants last evening opened fire on a police officer of the Special Operation Group (SOG) in Pulwama in south Kashmir. He however escaped unhurt.
A senior police official told Greater Kashmir that pistol-borne unidentified men opened fire at the Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Reyaz Ahmad Ganie outside his residence in Pulwama town. “He escaped unhurt. The number of attackers was two to three,” the officer, wishing anonymity, said.
Ganie is presently posted in SOG component at Serigufwara Anantnag (Islamabad).
