Jammu, Nov 22: Minister for Finance, Abdul Rahim Rather today called for better implementation of self-employment schemes in J&K to provide economically viable and technically feasible job avenues to the youth.
Speaking at a meeting of the Employment Facilitating Agency- highest body overseeing the functioning of all employment related organizations in J&K, Rather said: “Our endeavour should be to create need based skilled human resource by tying up with various skill development institutions.”
The Finance Minister impressed the need for providing hassle-free credit facilities to the entrepreneurs to ensure success of various self-employment schemes.
Minister for Higher Education and Employment, Abdul Gani Malik was also present.
Rather called for developing an authentic database on both physical as well financial positions of various self-employment ventures on the ground suggesting that related departments should further improve coordination with each other to ensure full proof monitoring mechanism in this regard.
Vodafone launches chota recharge
Srinagar, Nov 22: Vodafone has introduced additional talk time for all Vodafone pre-paid subscribers in J&K, making a Chota Recharge through E-Top up of Rs. 10 and Rs. 20.
The Chota Recharge of Rs. 10 will now offer talk time of Rs. 9 instead of Rs. 8. Vodafone customers can avail talktime of Rs. 18 on the Chota Recharge of Rs. 20, instead of the earlier talk time of Rs. 17, the company in a statement said.
Commenting on the new additional talktime offer, Asit Shekhar, Business Head – J&K, Vodafone India said, “Vodafone always endeavours to connect with the customers and provide them maximum value for money.”
