Inter-District girls athletic meet begins

Srinagar, Nov 22: The Inter-District girl’s athletic meet organised by Youth Services and Sports department started at Bakshi Stadium here on Thursday.
 On the inaugural day competitions of various track and field events were held in Under-14, 17 and 19 age groups.
 In 100 meter sprint Under-17 category, Ishrat Jan of Kulgam finished first while as Saima Bashir of Ganderbal and Bilquess of Pulwama finished second and third respectively.
 In Under-14 category, Sumaira Jan of Kulgam, Tanzeelah Nisar of Anantnag and Ishrat Bashir of Baramullah finished first, second and third respectively. In Under-19 category, Amina Akhter of Ganderbal, Asmat Kulgam and Mehnaz of Srinagar bagged first, second and third respectively.
 In Shot-Put Under-19 category, Arifa Akhtar of Budgam, Gulnaz of Srinagar and Afrooza of Ganderbal bagged first three positions respectively while as in Under-19 Triple Jump, Nowreen of Budgam bagged first place.
 In Long Jump Under-19 category, Amina Akhter of Ganderbal, Yumna of Budgam and Inaab of Srinagar bagged first three places respectively while as In Triple Jump Under-14 category; Ulfat of Anantnag bagged first three positions respectively.
 In Under-14 category, 600 metre Insha of Kulgam, Raffia Rashid of Pulwama and Maria of Budgam bagged first three positions respectively.
 In Long Jump, Under-14 category, Beauty Farooq of Ganderbal, Gousia of Pulwama and Maliha of Srinagar bagged first three positions respectively.
