NC-ANC merger soon: Kamaal
Srinagar, Nov 22: Confirming media reports about merger of Awami National Conference (ANC) into the National Conference, NC additional general secretary Mustafa Kamaal Thursday said the party president Dr Farooq Abdullah has given a green signal for the merger.
However, Kamaal said the party’s working president and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah was still reluctant over the merger.
“The merger is going to happen very soon. Dr Farooq Abdullah, I and other members are ready and happy over the move, however, Omar Abdullah has some reservations”, Kamaal told KNS on Thursday.
“Everyone respects Omar’s views as he is dearer in the family and in the party. Farooq Sahab has talked to him (Omar) on the issue. You’ll see NC and ANC as a one party very shortly”, said Kamal. KNS
