DAY 1: JK starts campaign on sorry note

Srinagar, Nov 2: Hosts J&K opened their Ranji trophy cricket tournament campaign on miserable note as whole JK team was bundled for 195 runs on the opening day of their first match against visitors Jharkhand at GGM Science College ground on Friday.
JK elected to bat first after winning the toss. However, they failed to take advantage of home conditions as whole team was bundled for 195 runs in 56.5 overs.
In reply Jharkhand were on 81 for the loss only one wicket in 29 overs at the end of days play. They are trailing by only 114 runs with nine wickets in hand. RN Nemat was playing on 42 while as MP Vardhan scored 31 for them.
Earlier for JK, Hardeep Singh top scored for hosts with unbeaten 49 while as A Reshi scored 41. Only other notable contribution was 20 scored by Parvez Rasool. For Jharkhand, SJ Nadeem, Shivshankar Roa took three wickets each while as SS Gupta took two wickets.
