‘His Excellency’ is now ‘Hon’ble’

Raj Bhavan intimates new protocol

Jammu, Nov 5: Raj Bhavan Secretariat Monday informed the State Government that in future correspondence, instead of “His Excellency” the word “Hon’ble” may be used before the title of Governor. The word “Excellency” would, however, be used in Governor’s interactions with foreign dignitaries.
