Pak HC invites Mirwaiz to discuss agenda

Srinagar, Nov 5: Ahead of the proposed visit of delegation led by Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq to Pakistan, the country’s High Commissioner to India has invited him to discuss the modalities and agenda of the visit.
Sources in conglomerate told Greater Kashmir that Mirwaiz Umar Farooq along with other executive members have been invited by Pakistan High Commissioner in New Delhi, Salman Bashir for meeting on November 10 for discussing itinerary and agenda of their visit to the country.
“The High commissioner has called Mirwaiz some days before and invited him to New Delhi to give final touch to the proposed visit to with Pakistan,” sources added.
This meeting assumes significance since the proposed visit to Pakistan next month is scheduled after four years.
Although Hurriyat (M) leaders had visited Pakistan twice in the past decade, but it is for the first time that they are meeting Pakistan High Commission officials before going to the country.
Meanwhile, Hurriyat (M) is holding an emergency meeting tomorrow at their party headquarters Rajbagh to discuss the current developments vis-à-vis their Pakistan visit.
The all the Executive members are expected to participate in the meeting except Professor Abdul Gani Bhat who is already in Pakistan.
