Power stealing

This refers to the netas and babus caught stealing power. These high profile VIPS are not supposed to cheat the Power Development Department like this. Although power stealing is common in the valley, but the way they steal power is somewhat appreciable. A common man steals the power by simply placing an Aluminium hook on the overhead line but these ‘intelligent people’ have made the difference by new getting illegal service lines. How can the poor people be blamed and stopped from stealing the power if the VIPs are doing so! The power consumed by such consumers is very large as compared to what they pay for it. Due to this the whole power system gets interrupted which in turn results in heavy power cuts even in the metered areas. The chief Engineer is advised to take stern action against the accused.
