Salah-ud-Din asks people to remember Jammu martyrs

Muzaffarabad, Nov 5: United Jihad Council (UJC) chairman and Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salah-ud-Din has called upon the people of Jammu and Kashmir to “remember and respect sacrifices rendered by martyrs of Jammu region in November 1947.”
 “The sacrifices of martyrs demand that the ongoing struggle must go on,” he said in a statement on Monday, on the eve of Jammu Martyrs Day.
 Salah-ud-Din said the “Jammu massacre is the most dreaded chapter of Kashmir’s history during which more than 3,50,000 Muslims were killed between 4-6 November 1947.”
 “The perpetrators of mass slaughter in Jammu should have been brought to justice through the international court of justice just like the criminals involved in massacres of innocent people in Bosnia and elsewhere in the world,” he said. “Alas! It has not happened due to prejudiced attitude of the world community and indifference of international human rights watchdogs.”
