4 gamblers held: Police

Srinagar, Nov 6: Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested four gamblers from Pamposh Colony Noorbagh area in Shaher-e-Khaas.
Confirming the arrests, the SP north City Tahir Saleem Khan said: “Acting on a specific tip-off, police raided at Pamposh Colony Noorbagh where a card game was going on and four gamblers were arrested while stake money of Rs 2000 was recovered from their possession.”
Tahir said an FIR vide No: 120/2012 under section 13 Gambling Act has been registered at Safa Kadal Police Station. He said that the drive against gambling would continue.
