Transfer of Labour officer draws flak

Tangdhar: Expressing strong resentment over transfer of Labour Officer from Karnah, various trade organizations and labourers of the tehsil have sought posting of the officer back to his previous place.
Hundreds of labourers working in various organizations and Army had recently staged protest against the transfer of the Labour Officer Bilal Ahmad who they said had been working for protection of their rights.
They threatened to go on indefinite strike if the authorities fail to post the officer to his previous posting at the earliest. “It is ironically that a dedicated and honest officer who has been fighting for our rights has been prematurely transferred,” they said and appealed the Government to look into the matter.
