The Hurriyat, after taking into consideration these suggestions, will decide its future course of action,” said the spokesman in a statement today, adding that “the amalgam is serious enough with regard to functioning and the plans of Shrine Board. We wish that everybody be informed about how New Delhi is trying to fulfill its agenda in a well-planned manner.”
The spokesman said: “We are very worried about the increasing number of Yatries and believe that keeping the pilgrimage on for months together followed by 50 percent increase in the pilgrims would lead to murder of environment, forests and water resources. We are trying to mobilize the people on this serious issues .We are also consulting various sections of society and forest and environment experts. The issue is not a simple one but it pertains to the life of Kashmiris.”
