Josh-E-Awam, U-19 football tournament concludes
Srinagar, Nov 8: The Intra-District football tournament for the children’s of Srinagar District was conducted by 7 Rashtriya Rifle (Punjab) under the aegis of HQ 31 Sub Area concluded on November 6.
The aim of conducting the tournament is to engage youth of 12-19 yrs age group (Class VIII to XII). A total of eight teams from different areas of Srinagar District participated in the tournament. The matches were played on knock out basis.
The final was played between Young Madina, Zadibal and FC Soura, Srinagar at Boys Higher Secondary School, Zadibal, in which Young Madina, Zadibal emerged as the winner by defeating FC Soura, Srinagar with a margin of 0-1 goals.
Commanding Officer, 7 Rashtriya Rifle (Punjab), Colonel Arun Awasthy, was chief guest and other civil dignitaries to include MLA Zadibal Peer Aafaq Ahmad, SP, Hazaratbal Abdul Quyoom who motivated the participants to perform to the best of their capabilities in the progress of this nation.
