PROF DAR AWARDED GOLD MEDAL
Srinagar, Nov 8: Professor Ghulam Hassan Dar, presently holding the Mahatma Gandhi Chair on Ecology and Environment at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Rajouri, has been awarded the Prof Y D Tyagi Gold Medal for the year 2012.
The award is granted by the Indian Association for Angiosperm Taxonomy (IAAT) to meritorious taxonomists for “significant contributions in their field of research.”
The award was conferred on Prof Dar during the International Symposium and 22nd Annual Conference of IAAT held at Amravati University, Maharashtra, from 28-31 October 2012.
